New Year's Eve

This is a little delayed, but we've been busy packing up our stuff in STL, driving 12 hours home to PA, and unpacking all of our stuff. Not much fun!!!

Anyway, we had a wonderful New Year's Eve at my parents' house. We spent it with my parents, my cousin (Heather), her husband (Jason), their daughters (Taryn & Lauryn), and my mom's best friend and my 2nd mom, Chris James. We all just sat around enjoying the kiddos, talking, and eating lots of yummy food. Carter was excited because we let him stay up until midnight for the first time. I think it was probably a bit of a let down for him but at least he can tell his buddies that he got to stay up.:0) Here are some pics of our fun evening:

Jack talking to my parents' cat, Carmen. No, we did not let him drink that night!!!!:0)

We had such a wonderful time in St. Louis and we were all sad to have to leave. Earlier in the week, Jason and I got to visit with my good friend, Amber and her husband, Nathan. They are such a wonderful couple and it was so easy for us all to just sit around and have a great conversation. We REALLY wish that we lived closer to them!!! We got to meet their new little boy, Elijah, who is beautiful.:0) Their little girl, Annie, was in bed while we were there so we didn't get to visit with her. She and Jack had a great time playing together last summer.

On our last day in St. Louis, we all went to the Missouri Botanical Gardens. I will post about that later with some pictures.
